Our Green approach

Our Green approach is straightforward; Recycle and reduce! It's really not hard to do, and we have proven that in our industry, it can be done.

You name it, we recycle it!

Let's keep it simple. If it can be recycled…we recycle it! Every piece of hardware, software, paper, Styrofoam, plastic and more is recycled. Period.

Consolidation Reduces Consumption

Have you heard the term "virtualization"? This technology allows the consolidation of multiple servers into fewer physical servers. This results in less power consumption and a reduction in waste. We use this technology for ourselves and for our clients.

Supporting Renewable Power

We are constantly looking for ways to become a more sustainable business. In fact, 100% of the power at our off-site data center uses PGE's Clean Wind power and we contribute a portion of our monthly charges to the PGE Clean Wind energy program. We support Wind Power because it works - as a sustainable energy source and an economic boost for wind-generating rural communities.

Awards

The Business Recycling Awards Group (BRAG) recognized Binary Science, Inc. in 2009 for doing an outstanding job of recycling, reducing waste and purchasing recycled-content products. We are proud to have been a recipient of the 2009 BRAG Award for Clackamas County!

Binary Science receives distinguished BRAG award for sustainability and recycling efforts

The award is sponsored by Clackamas County, the City of Lake Oswego, and Allied Waste. "Binary Science goes beyond curbside to find places for all kinds of materials – they see themselves as taking responsibility for some of the waste their industry produces," said Clackamas County Recycling Specialist Susan Terry.
